History

1999 At the age of 23, Christian Peer founded the internet agency peer internet solutions. With kalterersee.com, the first Peer tourism portal is launched.

2002 A strategic policy decision is taken, resulting in peer internet solutions to increasingly set the focus on internet marketing for tourism in South Tyrol. The destination portals suedtirolerland.it and weinstrasse.com are launched.

2003 With easy2book an additional service is offered. Further portals valgardena-groeden.com go online.

2004 suedtirolerland.it is relaunched and all further portals are transfered to the new portal system.

2005 peer internet solutions reviews the basic policy of the company and decides to increasingly focus the efforts and ressources on tourism portals. Additional staff is assumed in order to better cater for clients' demands.
In October suedtirolerland.it is relaunched in a completely new design and more comprehensive content and functions.

2006 In order to offer a comprehensive service for tourism in South Tyrol, the portals burggrafenamt.com and seiser-alm.it are launched. In the second half year val-pusteria.net, alpine-holidays.eu and tr3ntino.it go online.

2007 In May the company moves into the new edifice in Via Bolzano in Frangarto. The new office with a separate training room enables Peer to offer various events such as workshops, seminars and conferences for clients with domain experts.

2008 The portals tirol.tl and alta-badia.org are launched. Peer expands its market position in the field of tourism platforms in the world wide web.

2009 Peer keeps improving tourism portals regarding both content and functions. By means of the portal barometer, member accommodations can assess their individual rate of use of the available tools. Another innovative tool Peer has launched in September is the Peer Toolbox.

2010 Peer becomes an Ltd. company. In March, Peer presents the first Augmented Reality Open Source Browse for Android, “mixare“. In summer, the first video reports of “peer.tv “ are produced and published online. In November, the company is awarded with the certificate for “audit familieundberuf “, focusing on the compatibility of family and career. In December, the Augmented Reality Browser “mixare“ also becomes available for the iPhone. In the last months of the year, Peer starts preparing a relaunch of the Peer portals, which will be available from mid 2011.

2011 in mid-May, eppan.travel is the first tourism portal in the new relaunched version that is put online. Gradually all the other portals follow, at the beginning of September the last one, suedtirolerland.it, is relaunched. Since that date Peer has again set the focus on constant detail optimisation. Peer keeps investing in the strategic business field peer.tv and continues developing the web video concept. In November, the first version of AlpineBits is presented, which is an interface for the exchange of touristic data fitted to Alpine tourism.
